Laporkan Bigmo, Komnas Perlindungan Anak Akan Uji Otonomi Komdigi Lewat PP Tunas

Chairman of the National Commission for Child Protection (Komnas PA), Agustinus Sirait, announced that his body will engage with the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) to enforce child protection protocols in the digital space, following a formal report against YouTuber Muhammad Jannah, also known as Bigmo.

This move came after Sirait filed a report at the SPKT of the Metropolitan Police of Greater Jakarta regarding the alleged exploitation of children in a live broadcast promoting liquid vape. The report, registered under number LP/B/7344X/2026/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA, was submitted on Thursday (10/1), as reported by detikHot.

Sirait emphasized that the upcoming dialogue with Komdigi serves as a moment to test the implementation of Government Regulation (PP) Number 17 of 2025, also known as the "PP Tunas" (Regulation on Governance of Electronic Systems in Child Protection), and the Ministry of Communication and Digital's Ministerial Regulation. He criticized the current system that allows children under 16 years of age to freely access social media platforms.

"It is unfortunate that non-educational content, using rude language, which is harmful to a child's development, is becoming an idol for children," Sirait stated, warning that children are being normalized to inappropriate daily consumption of such media.

While awaiting the legal process, Sirait stated that Komnas PA has not yet communicated directly with Bigmo. CNNIndonesia.com contacted Bigmo's representatives for a comment, but no response was received. Sirait noted that although Bigmo issued a public apology, it does not eliminate criminal liability, especially since the viral content has already been viewed by minors.

Ekosistem kreator dan brand vape harus melihat ini sebagai peringatan terakhir. Jika tidak ada akuntabilitas jelas dari penyidik yang meminta pertanggungjawaban brand terkait, maka normalisasi kekerasan verbal terhadap anak di ruang digital akan terus berlanjut tanpa hambatan.
